The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is a meticulously engineered solution designed to combat the accumulation of oil vapors in the intake track, which is a common issue in all engines, especially those that are supercharged or turbocharged. This high-quality device ensures the effective separation of oil from air, protecting your engine and maintaining its performance.
The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator operates by filtering the air vented from the crankcase and trapping oil in its multi-stage filter system. As the oil vapors pass through the fine mesh stainless steel screen and the aluminum honeycomb filter, they condense into larger droplets and settle at the bottom of the separator, allowing only clean air to flow back into the intake. This process significantly reduces the potential for oil dilution in the gas and maintains the octane level of the fuel.
The separator is designed for easy maintenance, requiring draining every 2000-3000 miles, ensuring that it never reaches full capacity and continues to operate efficiently.
